The issue is not whether money can be made despite free reproduction, the issue is whether artists can be supported in their trade despite free reproduction.

this is not a change: this is the status quo. Almost all artists scrape money from commission and performance, or they take a patron.
Rock Stars who make money on copies are an aberration, and are rare. Besides, the Famous do not need to make money, because Fame bestows wealth without reason.
