So it turns out I accidentally booked my hostel in Tokyo for July rather than August, which means I'm not staying at Sumida-gawa YH (Asakusa-ku Toukyou) since they didn't have room. Instead I'm staying at Kana-gawa YH in Yokohama (a suburb just south of Toukyou). I'm chillin in 「Cafe J Net NEWNEW」 in Shibuya-ku now, first time I've been online since leaving. When I came in it was thundering fit to rain something fierce and the pedestrians had fled (were fleeing) to in of doors. I don't hear the thunder anymore, but nor do I hear the pitterpatter of rain up here on the 7th floor.
NEWNEW is an awesome little place; aside from having a large number of computers, they have a huge selection of manga, free drinks (coffee, tea, slushies), and more. Not to mention that the price is pretty good for a Toukyou internetcafe. Learning to type on a Japanese keyboard is... interesting, to say the least. Well, my hour is almost up so I should hurry. I've been keeping an extensive journal, which I'll prolly put online once I get back, just figured I should drop a line since (if for some reason you're interested in following my travels) the switch of hostels may be "important". All my other hostel reservations I got for the right month (including Sumidagawa YH on the last day before flying out), so those shouldn't change. Which reminds me, I should check the ryokan reservation. じゃあ、また。
