I;m with you. Lately I have started donig the most annoying thing: typing the homophone of the word that I really intend to type...which is really annoying, since spell check doesn;t pick it up, but it;s non-senseical nonetheless. I also have intentionally adopted British spellings now and again (I really think the u belings in colour), and I also am a firm beleiver in the umlaut over re(umlaut)emphasized vowels.
