I ran into this site called Ghost Town many moons ago. It's the pictoral narrative of a woman who drives her motorbike through the area around Chernobyl. Somehow it came up in conversation recently and, being reminded of it, I figured I'd share. (It's an excellent excellent narrative, be prepared to spend a couple-few hours on it and to go for a walk afterwards.) She's since written a continuation: Land of the Wolves; the english is a bit stilted on this one, but the images are still good.

I've also heard that the story about her riding her motorbike is false, that she managed to sneak in once to take the pictures and got found out and nearly got her scientist father fired, but again, so long ago that I no longer know the source.
The pictures are still deeply impressive.

That would be unfortunate if the (biking) story was false. Though the pictures are impressive..
